Hines Hosts Tour of Williams Tower for Woodson Elementary.

Houston, TX. GHWCC member, Hines, hosted a tour of Williams Tower, global headquarters to the international real estate firm, for twenty-three fifth graders and three advisors from Woodson Elementary.

Property Manager, Courtney Wilkinson, began the tour of Williams Tower by taking the fifth graders to see the famous Gerald D. Hines Waterwall, where they took a photo with one of the Houston’s most recognized and photographed backdrops. (see the image in the gallery below).

Courtney then toured them through the lobby, the building’s art gallery, its Central Plant, and Hine’s activated reception area—learning about Hines and the building, as well as architecture, real estate and engineering along the way. At the end of the tour, the students were treated to lunch in the Williams Tower Conference Center.

Leading the morning’s activities was GHWCC Board member Sandra Porter, VP of Corporate Marketing and Business Development for Hines, while George Lancaster, SVP of Corporate Communications, stopped by to share stories of his global travels with the highly inquisitive group.

Sandra Porter, “This was the first time for most of the students to see inside an office tower such as this, and many expressed a desire to go into real estate, architecture and business as a result!”
