Our Journey to Appreciation

The new PKF Texas website is live, and we appreciate the great feedback from everyone. Thank you all for taking the time to visit the site! It has been a journey. But how did we get here exactly? Let me tell you the story…

When I stepped into the position of Chief Growth Officer, one of my goals was to learn what clients really thought of us. To the average consumer, it can be challenging to tell one firm from the next, so I made it my personal mission to discover what sets PKF Texas apart. What are our strengths? How do we separate ourselves in the marketplace? Are there areas of the practice that we can explore and develop more? Thus, the journey began. To help us navigate this journey, we partnered with Eric Poerschke and the NextLevel Thinking team.

It’s one thing to be named as one of the “Best Accounting Firms to Work for” and the “Best of the Best” by Accounting Today and INSIDE Public Accounting, but it’s another to hear direct feedback from our people, clients and marketplace partners. Through anonymous surveys, the responses we received reassured us we are on the right path, but we also learned some new things about ourselves, which helped to develop our brand re-positioning strategy.

The people of PKF Texas have always cared about and taken care of clients and their businesses, but now we are saying it loud and proud. We are embracing the feedback and description the market gave us: “Approachable Advisors™,” who you can go to about anything.

You can be confident in our commitment to “Appreciating Your Business™” through “smart business decisions.” With a clearer vision, you can be assured every decision and action focuses towards our goal of appreciating your business.

We have great plans for 2022, including client experience work so we can institutionalize our processes, ensuring our bright young team members can learn and understand what it means to provide a first-class client experience. Our goal is for you to see those efforts anytime you have an interaction with one of our team members. Alongside that, we are developing a new sales process that plays to the firm’s strengths you identified in our survey.

To all of our clients, thank you for your help in this process. Your insights have proven invaluable towards making PKF Texas the best it can be. We are fortunate to work with some of the best clients, as well as the best team members in Houston. For that, we are truly blessed.
