Kim and her fellow co-workers were presented with their Certificate on Merit for their milestone years of service on January 25 at a ceremony held in the Harris County Administration Building. Wendy Caesar presided over the hour-long recognition ceremony in Tax Assessor-Collector Ann Harris Bennett’s absence.

Kim is the daughter of Dana Kervin, Founding Board Chair of the Chamber. Dana says that when Kim first joined the Tax Assessor-Collectors office in 1992, she and Kim carpooled to work until Dana’s retirement from the Harris County Attorney’s office in 1993.

Kim originally served in the voter registration department. Currently, she  serves in auto registration. Kim says the best part of her job is the people she works with. There’s a noticeable team effort and mutual support and respect for each other.

Kim has served under eight Assessor-Collectors: Carl Smith, Loretta Wimp, Willie Alexander, Paul Bettencourt, Leo Vasquez, Don Sumners, Mike Sullivan, and Ann Harris Bennett.

Congratulations, Kim, and best wishes for your continued success!
