Each of us would benefit individually from valuing the feminine energy within ourselves. How can you get started? Here are three ways to begin exploring and valuing the feminine energy within YOU:
- Meditate regularly– When you meditate daily, you being to engage your intuition. Take 5 minutes. Relax in a quiet place and listen to your breath. If your mind wanders, fine. Gently bring your attention back to your breath. While you are practicing #stayathome, a daily meditation ritual will help you relax and reconnect with your true self. Meditation is a great way to help diminish anxiety.
- Journal– Take time every day to Journal for a few minutes. Allow yourself to capture a free flow of ideas. Taking time to write down your thoughts and feelings is, like meditation, a great way to connect with your true self. I recommend journaling for a few minutes after meditating. After a few days, you may see a pattern surfacing in what you are thinking or how you are feeling. Pay attention to this. It is your conscience or inner voice working to connect with you.
- Feel your Feelings– Set an alarm to go off once per hour. When your timer goes off, notice what emotions you are feeling and write that down in your Journal. This is a good exercise to do while you are practicing #stayathome. In an overly masculinized culture, we are taught to ignore or disregard our emotions. We learn that they are not as valuable as logic. But they are. Emotions are part of our innate guidance system designed to protect us. We do not need to act on all of our emotions, but we need to pay attention to them and then decide what to do.
During #stayathome, get the whole family involved in these activities. These activities can provide you and family members with insights into how you are doing, support relaxation and health. When you balance your energy, you have more energy. Try it and see!
