The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is conducting public consultation meetings for its Triennial Goal Submission of its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program goal for Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) funded contracts for Federal Fiscal Years 2023-2025. TxDOT seeks public input regarding its proposed DBE goal. TxDOT and its consultant, Colette Holt & Associates, will conduct five virtual meetings to provide the opportunity for public consultation with minority, women, and general contractor advocacy groups, community organizations, public officials, and all other interested stakeholders. Participants will be able to contribute meaningful information concerning the availability of disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged businesses, the effects of discrimination on opportunities for DBEs, and TxDOT’s efforts to establish a level playing field for the participation of DBEs.
The proposed overall goal and methodology can be downloaded by clicking here. Public comments will be accepted by TxDOT until September 6, 2024. The email address to submit comments is CivilRights@txdot.gov.
