Houston hosted its first-ever Fleet Week, bringing U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, and Marine Corps ships and more than 1,000 service members to the city for a week of public events, ship tours, and community engagement. The event also spotlighted women in leadership, including Capt. Rosie Goscinski, who serves as the commanding officer of the USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), a Wasp-class amphibious assault ship based in Norfolk, Virginia.
