The Breakthrough Woman Award is a prestigious recognition that celebrates women who have made significant strides in their respective fields, breaking barriers and inspiring others with their achievements. This award honors women who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and dedication, contributing to positive change and progress in the community.
Proceeds from the International Conference for Women directly support the GHWCC’s mission-driven work. This includes our Women On Board Institute, preparing women for corporate board service; LOVE WHAT YOU DO, our scholarship and job-shadowing program for young women across seven school districts; the SBA Women’s Business Center, equipping entrepreneurs with resources and access to capital; STEAM Town USA, inspiring at-risk third-grade girls to pursue STEAM pathways; Women Supporting the Arts; and the Women’s Health Network of the Texas Medical Center & Greater Houston. Through our Governmental Affairs Committee and five regional chapters, we continue to elevate women’s voices while offering impactful leadership, educational, and networking opportunities. Our signature events—including the International Conference for Women, Tech Summit for Women, Women Shaping Houston’s Skyline, Women in the Fast Lane of STEAM, and the Montgomery County / North Houston Summit for Women—further strengthen and celebrate our community.
