Last week, as part of the Love What You Do program of the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce, Lone Star College, and Texas Children’s Hospital – The Woodlands hosted high school students from Spring ISD for a day of career exploration. Students learned about all of the opportunities that exist within the fields of Law and Healthcare. Many thanks to Nancy Molina, Britney Cherry Brown, Stephen Stack, Sergio Iraheta, & the entire team of Lone Star College’s General Counsel Office as well as Clint Staub & his team at TCH The Woodlands for their collaboration with the Chamber on this wonderful experience for students. As always, we couldn’t do this valuable work without our instructors, counselors, and staff at Spring ISD. We are extremely grateful to Diana Pino, President, Capstone HigherEd & GHWCC Education Committee Co-Chair and Cynthia Williams, Director, CTE at Spring ISD & GHWCC Education Committee Member for coordinating everything! Lastly, special thanks to our generous partners at Chick-fil-a; Cindy Smith, Owner/Operator & Angela Lopez, Bilingual Community Relations Director – Chick-fil-A at Jones Rd., and Pam Shelton, VP Marketing, Sales and Hospitality – Chick-fil-A, College Park for providing lunches for both events. It takes an entire community to inspire the next generation of leaders.
