Since 2016, women in senior leadership roles across various industries have been on the rise, with the technology, information, and media sectors leading the way, according to the 2023 Gender Gap report by the World Economic Forum. In these sectors, women in director roles rose from 30.8% in 2016 to 33.2% in 2022. Despite this progress, a gap remains, as men continue to dominate the higher leadership ranks, holding 71.7% of VP positions and 74.6% of C-suite roles.
