The Association of Women’s Business Centers (AWBC) hosted the GHWCC Women’s Business Center Executive Director, Shaya White, two small business clients of the GHWCC WBC, and other advocates of women entrepreneurs in Washington D.C. for an annual Capitol Hill Visit.

Meetings were held at the offices of Sen John Kennedy (R-LA), Sen John Coryn (R-TX), Sen Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Rep Beth Van Duyne (R-TX), Rep Raul Grijalva (D-AZ), and Rep Marcus Molinaro (NY-19) to share entrepreneurial policy priorities important to Women’s Business Centers and small women-led organizations. We were honored to have testimonials from our clients to highlight the impact the GHWCC WBC counseling has made on their business.

The visit ended at the US Small Business Administration Office with meetings with Veronica Pugin, Senior Policy Advisor to SBA’s Office of Capital Access, Mark Madrid, Associate Administrator for the Office of Entrepreneurial Development (OED), Thomas Morris, Director, Office of Liquidation and Diedra Henry-Spires, Senior Advisor for COVID Programs.
