Downtown Houston+ is offering over $2.2 million in grants across three programs to help downtown businesses improve their facades and storefronts in preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, when Houston will host seven matches at NRG Stadium. The grants, which include up to $250,000 for facade improvements and $50,000 for storefront upgrades, are part of the larger Main Street Promenade project to create a pedestrian-only thoroughfare and develop a more cohesive downtown environment.
