Texas Children’s Hospital is pleased to announce that Dr. Jill Weatherhead, director of the Pediatric Tropical Medicine Clinic at Texas Children’s Hospital, assistant professor of pediatrics, tropical medicine and infectious diseases and assistant dean in the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, is the recipient of the 2023 PIDS Young Investigator Award. The Young Investigator Award is presented to a physician who completed pediatric infectious diseases fellowship training seven years or less from the award date and whose independent and productive research has made outstanding contributions to the field of pediatric infectious diseases.
