The American Heart Association has recognized six Houston Methodist hospitals with Get With The Guidelines® – Stroke Gold Plus awards, recognizing the health system’s commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines, ultimately leading to more lives saved and reduced disability.
In addition to the Stroke Gold Plus honor, each hospital was also recognized for meeting specific criteria within the Get With The Guidelines – Stroke awards program.
- Houston Methodist Hospital, the flagship facility in the Texas Medical Center, received Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite, Target: Type 2 Diabetes and Resuscitation Gold awards.
- Houston Methodist Baytown received Target: Stroke Honor Roll and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll.
- Houston Methodist Sugar Land received Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll.
- Houston Methodist The Woodlands received Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus, Stroke Honor Roll Advanced Therapy, and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll.
- Houston Methodist West received Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll.
- Houston Methodist Willowbrook received Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite, Target: Stroke Honor Roll Advanced Therapy, and Target: Type 2 Honor Roll awards.
