A new study using MRI scans found that dogs can distinguish between several human emotions, with their brains responding differently to happiness, fear, anger and sadness. The findings suggest dogs process our facial expressions in greater detail than previously understood, offering new insight into how they interpret human emotions and navigate their relationships with people.
