A new exhibition at Vienna’s Kunsthistorisches Museum unites all known works by 17th century Flemish painter Michaelina Wautier, finally giving her recognition among the Old Masters. For centuries scholars could not believe a woman was capable of creating a monumental Bacchus painting, yet Wautier accomplished it with brilliance.
