Spotlight on Jennifer Davenport – Introducing Houston Grand Opera’s new Chief Marketing and Experience Officer

It is a new era at Houston Grand Opera. Under the leadership of General Director and CEO Khori Dastoor, HGO has created a new position for a Chief Marketing and Experience Officer, who will head initiatives that will grow and engage company audiences. And after an extensive search, the company has selected Jennifer Davenport as its first-ever CMXO.

Davenport joins HGO from the Houston Texans, where she served as Chief Marketing Officer. “We recruited Jennifer Davenport for her unique expertise, gained over a truly impressive career,” says Dastoor. “Her track record of drawing crowds from across our diverse community together through unforgettable shared experiences is exactly what our organization needs as we seek to increase access to this transformative art form.”

Davenport brings with her a wealth of expertise built over an impressive career with the Texans, the Rockets/Toyota Center, and Clear Channel Radio/iHeart Media in Austin. “I’m so excited to be joining HGO at this extraordinary juncture. Under the company’s forward-thinking new leadership, we have a wonderful opportunity to reimagine how we engage Houstonians through opera,” says Davenport. “This is a world-class institution that exists to inspire Houstonians through great art.
