Seven faculty members from the University of Houston were named Senior Members of the National Academy of Inventors for their work turning research into real-world technologies. Among the honorees are Haleh Ardebili, who develops flexible lithium-ion batteries for energy storage and wearable electronics, and Preethi Gunaratne, whose groundbreaking genome research has advanced biomedical science and led to multiple patented technologies.
