STEAM—science, technology, engineering, arts and math—represents a dynamic and rapidly expanding industry focused on innovation, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Professionals in these fields use advanced technology and scientific methods to tackle complex problems and test new theories, relying on curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking to discover new solutions.
On National STEM Day, nearly 30 high school girls from Spring Branch Independent School District (SBISD) explored STEAM careers at Core Laboratories, a global leader in oil and gas reservoir engineering. This field trip, part of the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce (GHWCC) Love What You Do (LWYD) program, provided hands-on learning and mentorship to inspire the next generation of STEAM professionals.
