Women-Owned Small Business Pitch Competition

Please read the eligibility criteria and application process before filling out the application below. All fields are required unless otherwise indicated. If you have any questions, please send a message to The Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce or call 713-782-3777.

To qualify for the pitch competition you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  1. Your business is at least 51% owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman or women.
  2. Your business made $500,000 or less in gross revenue in 2024 or 2025
  3. Your business employed 10 or less in 2024 or 2025.
  4. Your business must be registered in the State of Texas.
  5. A female owner of a business in Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery or Waller Counties and your business must have operated for more than 12 months.
  6. A legal resident of Texas.

Application Process:

  1. Completed applications must be submitted via the online application form.
  2. Finalists will be selected and notified via email.
  3. Finalists must attend the International Conference for Women on Friday, May 16th, 2025 and will receive further instructions for the day of the event.
  4. Finalists must respond to the notification email in order to secure their place in the final pitch event.
  5. Submission Period: March 22 to April 12.

Guidelines and Rules:

  1. The application form must be submitted with all required fields completed to be considered for the live pitch event.
  2. In the event that a finalist cannot be present at the live pitch event, an alternate may be selected. The Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to adjust the number of finalists at any time.
  3. The live pitch event will be recorded and available for replay on the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce website and/or social media platforms.
  4. The winner of the live pitch will be announced upon completion of the three finalists’ pitches and judging.
  5. The winner must be present to accept the award.
