The Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize Tatiana Fofanova, PhD, Co-Founder and CEO of Koda Health, for her leadership in transforming the future of patient-centered care.
This month, Koda Health announced an oversubscribed $7 million Series A funding round to scale its innovative platform nationwide. Under Tatiana’s leadership, the company is pioneering goal-concordant care—ensuring that patients’ voices guide critical healthcare decisions.
Tatiana co-founded Koda Health alongside Dr. Desh Mohan and Katelin Cherry after completing the Texas Medical Center’s Biodesign Fellowship. Together, they saw the urgent need to make advance care planning accessible, dynamic, and integrated into the way health systems serve their patients.
“Koda is addressing one of healthcare’s most urgent and overlooked challenges—making sure patients’ voices guide care in the moments that matter most,” Tatiana shared in the company’s announcement.
Koda Health’s platform is already reaching over one million patients across health systems including Cigna, Memorial Hermann, and Houston Methodist. With outcomes like a 79% reduction in terminal hospitalizations and 51% increase in hospice use, Tatiana’s vision is proving that compassionate, patient-centered care can also drive meaningful value in healthcare.
As a woman leading innovation at the intersection of technology, medicine, and compassion, Tatiana Fofanova exemplifies the kind of leadership we are proud to celebrate.
