Hitting milestones is certainly nothing new for Kim Sergeant; the Galveston resident recently completed her 100th 100-mile race, and is showing no signs of winding down her participation in ultra long-distance runs.
If anything, the 65-year-old is picking up even more steam when it comes to these running events, which typically take place over a 48-hour period.
Last year alone, Sergeant said she racked up 1,500 miles of running, and this year has already completed six 100-mile races. Last July, Sergeant completed the longest ultra long-distance run she has ever done: a 10-day, 314-mile trek across the state of Tennessee.
