GHWCC Advocates for Key Issues

Feb 14, 2025 | News

The Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce (GHWCC) recently embarked on a successful legislative trip to Austin, where they had the opportunity to advocate for key issues affecting business and businesswomen. The trip included attending the highly anticipated GHP reception at the historic Driskill Hotel, where GHWCC members networked with influential leaders and policymakers.

During their time in Austin, the Chamber also had the privilege of presenting their legislative agenda to a number of state legislators. This crucial opportunity allowed GHWCC to directly engage with lawmakers, share the priorities of women business owners, and advocate for policies that promote economic growth and equity.

The trip was an incredible success, fostering strong connections and amplifying the voice of Houston’s women in business at the state level. GHWCC looks forward to continuing this vital work and strengthening its presence in legislative advocacy.
