Houston’s Axiom Space sends 4 people, including first female Saudi astronaut, to space station

The second mission for Houston’s Axiom Space delivered two Americans and two Saudis to the International Space Station Monday morning, helping fine-tune the company’s space operations while giving another country access to microgravity.

The crew for the Ax-2 mission includes former NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson, who holds a U.S. record for 665 cumulative days in space, endurance motorsports racer John Shoffner, Saudi fighter pilot Ali Alqarni and Saudi biomedical researcher Rayyanah Barnawi.
