McKinsey has launched an internal AI platform called Lilli, which more than 75% of its 43,000 employees now use monthly to automate tasks once reserved for junior analysts like generating PowerPoint decks, crafting proposals, and researching industry trends, all while maintaining client confidentiality. The firm emphasizes that although Lilli creates efficiencies by offloading drudge work, junior analysts won’t be replaced. Instead, they’ll be redeployed toward higher-value client engagements and strategic efforts.
