Two Texans are planning to open the state’s first bar dedicated to women’s sports and its fans. The project, called ATX Women’s Sports Pub, is the brainchild of Debra Hallum and Marlene du Plessis, who have more than 30 years of experience in educational and corporate leadership. The bar, as the name indicates, will be located in Austin and is expected to open by the end of the year. Though the development of ATX WSP is in the early stages, the duo has already seen an outpouring of support since announcing their plan on Instagram last month.
