The University of Texas System and NASA’s Johnson Space Center signed a Space Act Agreement on January 9, 2026, to expand collaboration on research, workforce development, and STEM engagement across the UT System’s 13 institutions and NASA’s human spaceflight mission hub in Houston. Vanessa Wyche, director of Johnson Space Center, added that the partnership with the UT System “will enable us to meet our nation’s exploration goals and advance the future of space exploration,” highlighting the deal’s potential to strengthen innovation, education, and talent pipelines in aerospace.
