Houston-based Venus Aerospace has raised $91 million in Series B funding to scale production of its flight-tested rotating detonation rocket engine (RDRE), a breakthrough propulsion technology designed for defense, space, and future hypersonic applications. Led by Mercury Fund with support from Lockheed Martin Ventures and other investors, the funding will help move the company’s Houston-developed technology from successful testing toward full-scale deployment.
