GHWCC hosted an outstanding evening of conversation and dinner on February 11 with the Honorable Judge Sofia Adrogué and the Honorable Judge Grant Dorfman, who have both been appointed by Governor Abbott to the new Texas Business Court. The conversation was moderated by Traci Pelter, Market President & Publisher of the Houston Business Journal. The new Texas Business Court is a statewide specialized trial court designed to resolve complex business disputes efficiently and fairly. Judges who preside over matters in this court have substantial judicial or litigation experience in complex commercial matters, and each judge has a smaller docket than in other state courts. These courts will bolster the Texas judicial system by adding an efficient court that specializes in large commercial business disputes. It was a special privilege to have the only two judges from Houston with us for this interesting and insightful program!
